Plan an island day

Lipsi Beaches

A practical introduction to Lipsi beaches, from village-adjacent swimming to coves that need a longer walk or road transfer.

Start close to the village

The municipality describes Liendou as close to the village, with shallow water and tamarisk trees. It can be a useful first reference point before comparing other beaches around the island.

Match the beach to the day

Lipsi includes sandy, pebbly, rocky, shallow, and deeper-water beaches. Conditions and shade vary, so choose with the day’s wind, heat, walking distance, and swimming confidence in mind.

Prepare for the less-serviced coves

For longer walks or quieter coves, carry drinking water, sun protection, suitable footwear, and anything you need for the return journey. Do not assume that every beach has transport, shade, food, or facilities.

Confirm names before sharing

Many coastal photos can look similar. We only attach a beach name to archive media when the exact location has been confirmed; otherwise, the image remains a general Lipsi coast view.
